Does the $150 diagnostic fee include the full repair?
No. The $150 fee covers intake, bench testing, diagnosis, and quote preparation. The full repair, cloning, or programming price is sent separately after inspection.
Do you accept ECU repair jobs nationwide?
Yes. Customers can ship an ECU from anywhere in the United States. Submit the intake, pay the diagnostic fee, create your shipping label, and send the module in.
Who pays shipping?
The customer pays shipping to the shop. Return shipping is charged separately when the ECU is sent back after diagnosis, repair, or cloning.
What is the usual turnaround time?
Most diagnostic reviews are handled in 1 to 3 business days after the ECU arrives. More complex board repair, cloning, or programming work can take longer depending on the fault.
How much does ECU repair usually cost?
The diagnostic checkout is $150. Many ECU repairs are quoted after inspection, commonly around $400 depending on module type, damage, parts, and labor needed.
Can the repaired ECU be plug-and-play?
When module data and vehicle conditions allow, the goal is a matched plug-and-play result. Some vehicles still require installation steps, relearns, coding, or vehicle-side diagnosis.
What problems do customers usually send ECUs for?
Common issues include car will not start, ECU not communicating, water damage, corrosion, sensor faults, injector or coil driver faults, and replacement ECU cloning.
Do you work on all makes and models?
Yes. We handle ECU services for domestic, European, Asian, and electric vehicles. The intake form collects year, make, model, service needed, and symptoms so the repair quote is accurate.
What happens if the ECU tests good?
If testing does not confirm an ECU fault, we explain the result and only charge the diagnostic/testing fee unless another approved service is needed.
Do you offer a warranty?
Repair warranty terms depend on the module and service performed. Many approved repairs include a 3 month warranty, with details included on the final invoice.
